Alisa is one of the few female DJs available for hire in the United States. DJ Alisa (Russian: Алиса) was born in Leningrad, Russia. She speaks fluent Russian.
Alisa is the daughter of famous balalaika player Elina Karokhina, musicial director and soloist of Barynya, the biggest Russian music and dance ensemble outside of Russia. Since her early childhood Alisa has been around musicians and dancers. Alisa plays a variety of American, Russian, Jewish, and European music that is carefully selected for kids.
